Get help
Email [email protected]. We can help faster if you include:
- your phone model and Android version,
- Lore's version and which model it uses (Settings → About & privacy),
- what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
If a single answer is wrong or harmful, long-press it (or tap ⋯) and choose Report response. Lore opens your email app with that answer, a category and space for a note, ready for you to send.
Share diagnostics
If Lore crashed or did something odd, a diagnostics file helps us find out why.
- Open Settings → About & privacy.
- Tap Share diagnostics.
- Pick your email app in the share sheet and send the file to [email protected], with a line about what went wrong.
The file contains up to five recent crash reports (each with the app version, model, phone model and Android version), a log of how long each step took (numbers only) and a summary of your settings with the Brave key removed. It never includes your Chats, Memories, Attachments or API key, and nothing is sent until you send it yourself.
Frequently asked questions
How big is the model download?
Lore picks a model based on your phone's memory: about 2.6 GB for phones with around 8 GB of RAM, and about 3.7 GB for phones with 12 GB or more. You download it once, the first time you open Lore. Lore asks before using mobile data, the download resumes if it's interrupted, and you can look around the app while you wait.
How much storage does Lore need?
You need room for the model plus 1 GB, so about 3.6 to 4.7 GB free before you start. Your Chats, Memories and Attachments take up more space over time. You can delete the model and download it again in Settings → Model.
Does Lore drain my battery?
Running an AI model is hard work for a phone. Short chats use little battery. Long answers and Deep research (often 10 to 15 minutes) use a noticeable amount and can make the phone warm. While Lore works in the background, its notification has a Pause all button, and you can Stop any answer from its Chat.
Why does Lore say “Unsupported device”?
Lore needs about 8 GB of RAM to run its AI model. On phones with less memory the model wouldn't run reliably, so Lore shows the “Unsupported device” screen and downloads nothing. Lore also needs Android 15 or newer. If your phone has enough memory but LiteRT doesn't support its GPU, Lore runs the model on the CPU instead, and answers come much more slowly.
Why does search use the internet?
The model on your phone only knows what it learned in training, which stops at a fixed date. For anything current or specific, like news, prices or opening hours, Lore searches the web and reads pages, and that needs a connection. Your search queries go to DuckDuckGo, or to Brave Search if you've added your own API key in Settings. See what leaves your phone.
Should I add a Brave Search API key?
It's optional. Without a key, Lore uses DuckDuckGo. If you add your own Brave Search API key in Settings, Lore searches with Brave and falls back to DuckDuckGo when a Brave search fails. The key stays on your phone. Any limits or costs on your Brave plan are between you and Brave.
How reliable is Deep research?
Lore drafts a research plan for you to approve, looks into each question and writes a report with its sources. Small on-device models can still mix up numbers or details, so check the sources before you rely on a report.
How do I delete my data?
Delete Memories on the Memory screen and the model in Settings. Uninstalling Lore, or clearing its storage in Android's settings, deletes everything Lore stored on your phone. Lore sends nothing to us, so we hold no copy of your data apart from anything you've emailed us. If you use Android backup, your Google account may also hold a backup; see the privacy policy.
